National Schwa Day

Dear Educators,

Welcome to the 3rd year of celebrating National Schwa Day!

Last year’s celebration brought it over 20,000 participating classrooms in over 4 countries! What started as a fun way to celebrate a love of reading has turned into a movement, and that’s because of you and your students.

This year’s Schwa Day resources were designed with two goals in mind: 1. to make planning the celebration easy for educators and 2. to make Schwa Day meaningful and fun for students.

National Schwa Day was created to celebrate learning to read and is an official registered holiday. Each year, we are inspired by the creativity and commitment that’s occuring in your classroom.

Thank you for being part of a lasting memory for your students and joining in on the literacy fun.

With gratitude,
